Applying for short-term employment
What documents are the employer required to submit in order to register the short-term employment of an alien?
In order to register the short-term employment of an alien, the employer must submit the following documents in person or through an authorised representative:
- a completed application form for the registration of short-term employment of an alien
- an identity document of the alien
- digital photo
- a document certifying payment of the state fee, e.g., a payment order.
The processor of the application may ask you to submit additional information or documents, if necessary.
How can I submit an application for the registration of short-term employment of an alien?
You may submit the application to the Police and Border Guard Board electronically in self-service portal (in Estonian), or at the service offices of the Police and Border Guard Board.
How long does the registration of short-term employment of an alien take?
Normally, short-term employment is registered or refused within 15 working days from the day following the acceptance of the application into processing or from the day of the elimination of deficiencies in the application.
