Permit for the sale of a weapon
The sale of a weapon means the transfer of ownership of a weapon to another person or legal entity.
As the owner or possessor of a weapon, you may sell the weapon:
- to an individual who holds an acquisition permit for the corresponding weapon
- as a commission sale through a company who holds an activity licence for the sale of weapons
- to a company who holds and activity licence for the sale, manufacture, conversion or repair of weapons
A person using a weapon under a parallel weapons permit cannot apply for a permit for the sale of a weapon.

Applying for a permit for the sale of a weapon at a service office
To submit an application, go to a suitable service office and take the following with you:
- an identity document
- if necessary, a document proving the legal ownership of the weapon (such as a succession certificate)
