Weapons permits for individuals

Permit for the sale of a weapon

The sale of a weapon means the transfer of ownership of a weapon to another person or legal entity.

As the owner or possessor of a weapon, you may sell the weapon:

  • to an individual who holds an acquisition permit for the corresponding weapon
  • as a commission sale through a company who holds an activity licence for the sale of weapons
  • to a company who holds and activity licence for the sale, manufacture, conversion or repair of weapons

A person using a weapon under a parallel weapons permit cannot apply for a permit for the sale of a weapon.
