Registration of short-term employment
How can an application for the short-term employment of a foreign national be submitted?
Submit the application to the Police and Border Guard Board through the self-service portal.
What documents are required for the application of short term employment registration?
- copy of foreigners Passport
- compliant photo of a foreigner
- copy of employment contract or binding job offer
- proof of payment of the state fee, such as a payment order.
What information must employer know about foreigner?
- Foreigners name or names
- Sex
- Estonian ID-code or date of birth
- Place of birth with country percision
- Nationality or nationalities
- Foreignest contact details including contact address, e-mail address and phone number
The proceedings officer may request additional information or documents if necessary.
How long does it take to register the short-term employment of a foreign national?
As a rule, short-term employment is registered, or registration is refused, within 15 working days from the day following the acceptance of the application for processing, or from the day the deficiencies in the application are remedied.
