Family members temporary right of residence

What prerequisites apply to European Union citizen for you to get a temporary right of residence?

EU citizen with whom you will be living, must meet the following prerequisites:

• is working or acting as a sole proprietor or
• studying in Estonia (settling with a student is only possible for a spouse or dependant child) and has sufficient financial means and has health insurance from the Estonian Health Insurance Fund or
• has sufficient financial means and has health insurance from the Estonian Health Insurance Fund.

What conditions apply to me?

You qualify for a temporary right of residence if:

• EU citizen has a right of residence in Estonia
• EU citizen fulfils one of the prerequisites listed above
• You meet the definition of an EU citizens family member
• There are no grounds to deny issuing a right of residence.
