State helpline does not disclose restricted information that requires identification. Nor does it disclose information about third parties, such as a person’s stay in a detention house or detention centre, or whether an offence report has been registered.
You can call the state helpline 1247 for questions relating to the services of the Police and Border Guard Board or general information. When calling from abroad, dial the number +372 600 1247. Calls are answered 24/7 from Monday to Friday in Estonian, Russian and English.
The cost of the call depends on your selected telecommunications operator. All incoming calls are recorded.
State helpline can provide information about the following:
- services and launched campaigns of the Police and Border Guard Board
- application forms and how to fill them in
- documents to be attached to applications
- general information on the procedures for identity documents and residence permits
- location and opening hours of structural units
The police will not call people asking them to disclose their personal information or bank account details.
