Police and Border Guard Board principles for involving officials and equipment on film and TV production sets
The Police and Border Guard Board is prepared to contribute as it is able to various film and TV series shoots and other audiovisual projects, based on the following principles.
The basis for use of Police and Border Guard Board equipment on shoots is a written request from the producer, which is to be sent to ... at least 5 working days before the scheduled shoot.
The application must include:
- Data for the contact person related to the film project
- Precise time of the shoot
- Shoot location
- Shoot duration
- Channel/place where the work produced is to be screened
- As accurate as possible a description of the resources requested from the Police and Border Guard Board (exact sizes in the case of uniforms)
- Brief description of the work
- The part of the screenplay detailing as accurately as possible the Police and Border Guard Board’s role
A request must be submitted for each shoot session, unless agreed otherwise beforehand.
The Police and Border Guard Board will make the decision on possible participation based on the potential impact of the finished product on the Police and Border Guard Board’s reputation, the resources necessary for the shoot and other key circumstances. In general, the Police and Border Guard Board will not provide resources for commercials and advertisements. The Police and Border Guard Board may elect to deny use of its resources:
The Police and Border Guard Board may require, as a precondition for use of its resources, request changes to the screenplay.
The Police and Border Guard Board is able to contribute to shoots above all by lending out uniforms.
The producer should be aware that the vehicles and officials participating in the shoot will generally be on duty and if they receive a higher-priority assignment, the officials may leave with shoot with their vehicles without advance notice.
