Document pick up in a store
The new document can only be picked up in a store if the applicant has brought a valid document issued by the Police and Border Guard Board.
If there is no valid document, the document will be sent to a PBGB service office based on the applicant’s written request. There is a charge for the delivery to the customer.
The child's document can be picked up from the store by the parent who submitted the document request for the child

There is a charge for collecting the document in a store. You can pay for the service when you collect the document at the service provider.
Prices for picking up the document in a store
For persons over 18 years of age, the cost of picking up the document is €8 for each document.
For persons under 18 years of age, the fee is €4.8 for each document.
For persons who have reached the old-age pension and for disabled persons, the fee is €4.8 for each document.
Standard ID card application procedure
When opting for the standard ID card application procedure, the card will be ready within a maximum of 30 days after the application was accepted for processing.
Expedited ID card application procedure
When opting for the expedited ID card application procedure, the card will be ready in two business days. The ID card preparation period is calculated as of the next business day following the submission of the application.
Applying for an ID card abroad
Ordering a document to a foreign representation will cost €20 in addition to the state fee.
You need to allow a longer waiting period when collecting an ID card ordered from abroad, as it takes longer to transport documents to Estonian foreign missions. For more detailed information on the possible arrival time of your document, please contact the corresponding Estonian foreign mission.

If your document is at a service office and you wish to change its place of issue, please submit a free form application to ... and include proof of payment of the state fee.

The price for sending your document from Estonia to a foreign country is €30.
There are no time limits provided for sending documents to foreign countries and it may take time for the document to arrive. The foreign mission will contact you when your document has arrived.

I am sending my authorized representative to collect my ID card
The document is released to an authorized person only if the application was submitted at a client service office or an Estonian foreign mission and the authorization had been provided when submitting the application for the document. If your document is collected by your authorized representative, they need to provide their valid Estonian identity document and your existing ID card.
