Booking a time at the service office
It is possible to reserve a time at the service office for claiming the document.
Document pick up in a store
The document can be picked up in certain stores during their opening hours.
There is a charge for collecting the document in a store. You can pay for the service when you collect the document at the service provider.
The new document can only be picked up in a store if the applicant has brought a valid document issued by the Police and Border Guard Board.
If there is no valid document, the document will be sent to a PBGB service office based on the applicant’s written request. There is a charge for the delivery to the customer.
The child's document can be picked up from the store by the parent who submitted the document request for the child.
Prices for picking up the document in a store
For persons over 15 years of age, the cost of picking up the document is €7.3 for each document.
For persons under 15 years of age, the fee is €4.4 for each document.
For persons who have reached the old-age pension and for disabled persons, the fee is €4.4 for each document.
Receive your passport abroad by courier
If in a foreign country, you can receive your passport by courier. You can choose the courier option when applying for a passport, and if a positive decision is made on the issue of your passport, you will be e mailed detailed instructions on how to proceed with the courier service.
Courier service for receiving a passport is not available in the following countries: China, Russia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Turkey, India, Turkmenistan and Belarus.

Applying for passport under ordinary procedure
After your application has been accepted, it will take a maximum of 30 days to prepare your passport under ordinary procedure.
Applying for passport under expedited procedure
It will take a maximum of 2 working days to prepare a passport applied for under expedited procedure. The time until the passport is issued starts on the working day after the application is submitted.
Applying for a passport abroad
Ordering a document to a foreign representation will cost €20 in addition to the state fee.
If you have ordered your passport to be received abroad, factor in a longer time, as transport of documents to a foreign representation of the Republic of Estonia takes more time.
In matters pertaining to the document reaching the foreign representation and claiming the document, contact the foreign representation to which you ordered the document.
There is a fee for changing the place where you wish to claim a passport that has already been sent to the foreign representation you initially specified. For more information, consult the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
Changing the pick-up location of a document
You need to pay for changing the place of issue of your document.
If your document is at a service office and you wish to change its place of issue, please submit a free form application to ... and include proof of payment of the state fee.
The price for changing the place of issue of your document is €10.
The place of issue of your document will be changed based on your application within 30 days after receipt of the state fee.

From Estonia to a foreign country: from a service office to a foreign mission of the Republic of Estonia
The price for sending your document from Estonia to a foreign country is €30.
There are no time limits provided for sending documents to foreign countries and it may take time for the document to arrive. The foreign mission will contact you when your document has arrived.
In a foreign country: from a foreign mission of the Republic of Estonia to another foreign mission
The price for sending your document from a foreign mission to another foreign mission is €80.

If the parent goes to collect the document, you must have a valid identity document and the child's old document.

When applying for an document, an authorization must be made and if the parent goes to collect the document, you must have a valid identity document and the child's old document.

To collect your new document, please provide your existing document.
I will send a person I have authorized to claim the passport
The document will be issued to your representative only if the application was submitted in a service office or foreign representation of the Republic of Estonia and the authorization was submitted already upon submission of the application for the document. If you have authorized someone else to claim your passport, they must bring with them their own valid Estonian identity document and your old passport.
